Our 21 community mental health providers are located across Alabama and serve people from across the state, employing more than 5,200 people and assisting more than 115,000 individuals a year with counseling, day treatment, outpatient, inpatient, and residential services.
The Alabama Council of Community Mental Health Boards was incorporated in 1972 and has represented the state's community mental health providers for more than 50 years, acting as a liaison between our members, the Alabama Department of Mental Health, the State Legislature, and the federal government.
